Summary of issues discussed:
Annual Meeting: the meeting elected John Griffiths MS as Chair and re-elected Chris Roberts as Secretary. The main business of the ordinary meeting: was a presentation by Transport for Wales on their active travel work.
On October 4th 2023, the Group organised an event to mark the 10th anniversary of the Active Travel Event. This was not a formal Group meeting but a public event including a mass cycle ride and a walk to the Senedd involving hundreds of active travellers. Representatives of all four Senedd parties addressed the assembled crowd on the steps of the Senedd. The culmination of the event was panel discussion in the Pierhead building with Chris Boardman (Active Travel Commissioner for England), Julie Bishop (Director of Health Improvement, Public Health Wales), Callum Coleman (Public Affairs Coordinator, Living Streets) and Sian Donovan (Director, Pedal Power Inclusive Cycling Centre). The panel was chaired by Huw Irranca-Davies MS.
